Filming for the fourth season has already been completed, with production wrapping earlier in 2026. The decision to make Season 4 the series' conclusion was planned, allowing the creative team to provide a definitive ending to the narrative based on Hugh Howey's bestselling trilogy. Showrunner Graham Yost has indicated that the final season aims to resolve the numerous mysteries and conflicts established throughout the series. It also appears to delve deeper into the complex history and fractured identity of Daniel Keene, who was revealed in the Season 3 finale to be an operative known as Troy, manipulated by Silo 1.
