Sikh Truck Driver Stabbed 17 Times in Wyoming Rest Stop Attack

A Sikh truck driver was stabbed 17 times in an unprovoked attack at a Wyoming rest stop early Sunday, September 13, 2026, authorities said. The suspect, Andrew Kris Bzdak, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder. The victim, identified by his attorney only as Singh due to safety concerns, was attacked in the bathroom of the Bitter Creek Rest Area along Interstate 80 in Sweetwater County. According to court documents, the 28-year-old from Sacramento, California, was followed into the restroom by a man who then attacked him from behind, inflicting stab wounds to his neck, chest, arms, and ribs.
