Siddharth Jawahar Sentenced to 11 Years for $35 Million Ponzi Scheme

Federal prosecutors have sentenced Siddharth Jawahar to 11 years in prison for orchestrating a $35 million Ponzi scheme that defrauded dozens of investors, including Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The sentencing, which occurred on September 15, 2026, in a Missouri federal court, also ordered Jawahar to pay $31.35 million in restitution to his victims. Jawahar, 38, pleaded guilty in January 2026 to three counts of wire fraud. He operated Swiftarc Capital LLC, a Texas-based investment firm, and between July 2016 and December 2023, collected over $35 million from investors but invested only about $10 million. Prosecutors said he concentrated nearly all client funds into a single holding, Philip Morris Pakistan, and when that investment declined in value, he concealed the losses and falsely told investors their money was generating profits. Kelce was identified as a victim during the sentencing hearing, but authorities did not disclose the amount he invested or lost. A 2021 Forbes article had previously listed Kelce as an investor in a Swiftarc-related venture fund. Kelce has not publicly commented on the case.
