Seven More Arrested in A66 Crash Organised Crime Probe

Cleveland Police announced on August 28 that seven more men have been arrested as part of an ongoing operation targeting organised crime in the wake of a fatal head-on collision on the A66. The arrests bring the total number of people detained since the crash to 24. The latest arrests, made on the night of August 27, include four men aged 35, 25, 40, and 21. They are being held on suspicion of criminal damage with intent to endanger life, arson, and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. The criminal damage charge relates to a vehicle crashing into a house in Steele Crescent, Middlesbrough, in the early hours of August 24.
