Sebastian Stan Compares The Batman Part II to The Godfather Part II
Actor Sebastian Stan has compared the production quality of the upcoming film The Batman Part II to that of the classic sequel The Godfather Part II, expressing high confidence in director Matt Reeves' vision. In a recent interview, Stan stated, "I go to set sometimes and I look around and I'm like, I think we're making f---ing Godfather Part Two. I really don't want to raise it up, but I do feel like it's going to be a payoff." Stan, who is currently promoting his film Fjord at the Toronto International Film Festival, revealed that Reeves approached him for the role after seeing his performance in the movie The Apprentice. "Matt Reeves, he knows Cristian, and he knew Ali Abbasi. He was a big fan of The Apprentice, and that's how that conversation started," Stan explained. He also noted that he had simultaneously reached out to DC Studios co-chair James Gunn to express his availability. Production on The Batman Part II is currently underway in the United Kingdom. When asked about the remaining filming schedule, Stan indicated a significant amount of work is left, describing the shoot as "a very long time" and "a long winter.
