Sean Ono Lennon Welcomes First Child, John Lennon's Grandson

Sean Ono Lennon, the son of late Beatles legend John Lennon and Yoko Ono, has become a first-time father, welcoming a baby boy named Aurelius with his longtime partner, Charlotte Kemp Muhl. The couple announced the birth on social media on September 1, 2026, sharing photos of their newborn son. The child is the first grandchild of John Lennon, who was killed in 1980, and Yoko Ono, now 93. Sean, 50, posted the news on Instagram, captioning a photo of himself and Muhl, 39, holding their infant son. "charlottekempmuhl and I have created a Human Bean! His name is Aurelius! Thank you!" he wrote. He shared additional images, including a selfie with the baby and a photo of Muhl holding Aurelius in a hospital bed, which he captioned "Baby Momma!" Muhl also posted her own series of photos, including one of her carrying Aurelius in a baby harness while standing in water. "We made a human! Am convinced DNA is agentic alien quaternary code," she wrote, adding that the sleep deprivation "only adds to the surrealism" and that she had been playing the newborn music by Aphex Twin and Stravinsky.
