Seahawks Sign Terrion Arnold, Place Him on Exempt List

The Seattle Seahawks officially signed cornerback Terrion Arnold on Saturday, August 29, 2026, but the former first-round pick will immediately be placed on the commissioner's exempt list, delaying his availability to the team. The move comes as Arnold faces eight felony charges in Florida related to an alleged kidnapping and armed robbery case from earlier this year. Arnold, 23, was released by the Detroit Lions in June following his arrest. He turned himself in to police on June 24 and has maintained his innocence. According to prosecutors, Arnold is alleged to have been the primary conspirator in a February kidnapping in Largo, Florida, where he is accused of beating three men he wrongly suspected of robbing him of $100,000 at an Airbnb. He faces four counts of armed robbery and four counts of kidnapping, charges that carry the possibility of life in prison. His attorney, Denise White, stated at the time of his arrest that Arnold "categorically denies any involvement" and that there is "no credible evidence" linking him to the allegations.
