Samsung launches Galaxy S26 FE with Exynos 2500 and One UI 9

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 FE, its latest Fan Edition smartphone, positioning it as an incremental update to the well-received Galaxy S25 FE. The device, which was revealed alongside the rollout of the One UI 9 beta software for the flagship Galaxy S26 series, maintains the core specifications of its predecessor while introducing a new processor and software features. It is available for preorder ahead of a general on-sale date of September 4. The most significant hardware change is the adoption of the Exynos 2500 chipset, replacing the Exynos 2400 found in the S25 FE. This new processor is built on a 3nm process and is designed to offer improved performance, particularly for AI-driven tasks and demanding applications like video editing. Samsung states the chip enables more on-device AI processing. The phone retains the 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging, and a triple-camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Software is a central focus of the update.
