Samsung launches affordable Galaxy Book6 at $799
Samsung has launched a new, more affordable version of its Galaxy Book6 laptop, pricing the 14-inch Windows notebook at a starting price of $799. The new model, announced on September 1, 2026, is positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to Apple's MacBook Neo, focusing on everyday tasks like work, school, and streaming rather than high-end performance. The device is powered by Intel's new Wildcat Lake processors, specifically the Core 3 304 and Core 5 315 chips. The base configuration includes 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, with higher-tier options available with up to 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage. Samsung highlights the laptop's battery life as a key feature, claiming up to 25 hours on a single charge from its 61.2 Wh battery. It supports 45W fast charging, which can provide a 33% charge in approximately 30 minutes. While the Galaxy Book6 starts at a higher price than the MacBook Neo, Samsung emphasizes its larger display and more extensive port selection. The laptop includes two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a full-sized HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features WiFi 6 or 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
