Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra to get larger battery but retain S Pen
Samsung is reportedly testing prototypes for its upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra smartphone that include a significantly larger battery, but the company appears to have decided against the most ambitious option due to a key design trade-off. According to multiple reports, the company evaluated a prototype with a 7,000 mAh battery, but that version required removing the integrated S Pen stylus, a defining feature of the Ultra line. Samsung is now expected to target a battery capacity in the range of 5,700 mAh to 6,000 mAh for the production model, which would still represent a substantial increase over the 5,000 mAh battery used in the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
