Samantha Ruth Prabhu shares details of traditional baby shower ceremony

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her husband, filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, have shared details of a traditional baby shower ceremony they held in anticipation of their first child. The intimate event, known as a seemantham, took place at Sadhguru's Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. Prabhu, who is expecting the child in December, posted a series of photos and videos from the ceremony on her social media. In the images, she is seen wearing a bright yellow ethnic outfit. The couple participated in several rituals, with Nidimoru applying a tilak and showering her with pearls and rose petals. The ceremony featured a specific Srividya ritual called Kalaa Aavarana, or Sri Kalpam. According to Prabhu's description, a priest guided her through the process, which honors the 94 divine qualities, or kalas, of the Goddess through the seven chakras of the expectant mother. Sacred water and mantras were used to cleanse and energize these centers. During the ritual, the mother-to-be is seated at the center of a Sri Chakra Yantram, a geometric diagram central to Srividya worship. Prabhu wrote that she was honored as Devi herself, the sacred creator through whom another life is taking form.
