Sainz accepts blame for Dutch GP collision with Albon

Carlos Sainz accepted full responsibility for a late-race collision with teammate Alex Albon at the Dutch Grand Prix on August 23, an error that compounded a frustrating afternoon for the Williams team. The incident occurred four laps before the end of the race at the Zandvoort circuit, when Sainz locked his front tyres while defending the inside line into Turn 1 and slid into Albon. The contact caused significant floor damage to Albon's car, forcing his retirement, while Sainz was handed a 10-second penalty after stewards ruled he was wholly at fault for the collision.
