Rutgers Dean Charged With Secretly Filming Upskirt Videos on Campus

A longtime Rutgers University research dean has been barred from campus and faces a criminal charge after state investigators allege they found secretly recorded upskirt videos on his phone. Joshua Kohut, 51, of Cranbury, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree invasion of privacy following a search warrant executed on his devices on August 24, 2026. The New Jersey Attorney General's Office stated that a forensic preview of the seized material uncovered videos showing another person's undergarment-clad intimate parts. According to authorities, Kohut used a mobile phone to record the footage without the victim's knowledge.
