Russian Strike on Pavlohrad Shopping Centre Kills Five

A Russian strike on a shopping centre in the central Ukrainian city of Pavlohrad killed at least four people and wounded dozens more on Thursday, September 10, 2026, Ukrainian officials said, with later updates putting the toll at five dead and 67 injured. Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi said the attack hit the centre of Pavlohrad in the middle of the day, when the streets were crowded with people. Images released by the State Emergency Service showed firefighters tackling burning vehicles and thick smoke, while market stalls, a store and vehicles were set ablaze. Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha said eight children were among the injured, including three teenage boys aged 13, 14 and 15, who were taken to hospital.
