Royal Aberdeen Golf Club and Aberdeen Ladies Golf Club have voted to merge, creating a single integrated organization at the historic Balgownie links. The decision, announced on August 27, 2026, follows special general meetings held by both clubs the previous evening. The formal integration is scheduled to take effect on September 1, 2026. The merger brings together two institutions with a combined heritage of nearly 250 years. Royal Aberdeen Golf Club was founded in 1780, while Aberdeen Ladies Golf Club was established in 1892.
