Robinhood partners Crypto.com for prediction markets
Robinhood Markets is significantly expanding its presence in prediction markets through a new multiyear agreement with Crypto.com and its recently spun-off entity, OG.com. The brokerage announced on September 8, 2026, that it will route selected football event contracts through OG.com's federally regulated exchange and clearinghouse, adding another venue to its existing network. As part of the strategic partnership, Robinhood will also acquire equity stakes in both Crypto.com and OG.com. The stakes are priced in line with a recent investment by Citadel Securities, which valued Crypto.com at $20 billion and its independent spinout, OG.com, at $5 billion. The specific ownership percentages and investment amounts were not disclosed. OG.com will serve as an infrastructure and clearing partner for Robinhood's prediction markets business, which operates a derivatives exchange and clearinghouse regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This move marks a growing importance for prediction markets within Robinhood's business model. In the second quarter of 2026, event contracts generated a record $156 million in revenue, a tenfold increase year-over-year.
