Robinhood Chain Sets Record $3.75M in Daily Fees

Published 4 September 2026

Robinhood Chain, the two-month-old Ethereum Layer 2 network launched by the brokerage giant, set a new record for daily transaction fees on September 1, 2026, generating $3.75 million. The figure surpassed the fees collected by both the Ethereum mainnet and the Base network on the same day, marking a significant milestone for the Arbitrum-based chain that only went live on July 1. The record fee haul, confirmed by data from DeFiLlama, represented the fourth consecutive day the network set a new all-time high, indicating sustained activity rather than a one-off spike. In its first two months of operation, Robinhood Chain has accumulated more than $13 million in cumulative fees. On September 1, the network also processed over $1.5 billion in decentralized exchange volume and reported a total value locked exceeding $750 million. A key feature of Robinhood Chain's architecture is its built-in revenue-sharing agreement with the Arbitrum ecosystem. Under the Arbitrum Expansion Program, chains built on its technology that settle outside of Arbitrum One or Nova are required to return 10% of their net protocol revenue to the broader Arbitrum ecosystem.
