Rivian CFO Claire McDonough to step down in October
Rivian Automotive announced on Thursday, August 27, 2026, that Chief Financial Officer Claire McDonough will step down at the end of October to join GE Vernova in the same role. The departure, confirmed in a regulatory filing, triggers a leadership transition at a critical moment for the electric vehicle maker as it scales production of its new R2 SUV. McDonough, who joined Rivian in January 2021, will leave her post on October 30, 2026. She is relocating to the East Coast to be closer to her family and will take the CFO position at Massachusetts-based GE Vernova, succeeding retiring Ken Parks.
