Ripple Expands AI Agents in Treasury Platform With Human Approval

Published 11 September 2026

Ripple has expanded its GSmart AI agents across its corporate treasury platform, enabling the software to monitor financial data and recommend actions while requiring human approval for any transaction involving money. The company announced the expansion on September 10, 2026, extending the AI capabilities to cover forecasting, liquidity, risk management, reconciliation, and reporting within Ripple Treasury. The system is designed to separate deterministic financial calculations from AI-driven policy interpretation. Deterministic software handles precise computations, while GSmart interprets company policies, identifies patterns in financial data, and explains its recommendations. Each proposed action cites the relevant section of a company's treasury policy, but the system requires authorization from a finance team member before execution. "Rather than asking customers to blindly trust an AI system, GSmart works within each organization's own treasury policies to surface recommendations transparently, while ensuring humans remain in control of every decision," said Renaat Ver Eecke, senior vice president of Ripple Treasury.
