Ripple Donates $300,000 for Nepal and Tibet Flood Relief

Published 30 August 2026

Blockchain payments company Ripple announced on August 28 that it is donating $300,000 to support emergency relief efforts following catastrophic flooding in Nepal and the Tibetan region of China. The funds will be directed to two established humanitarian organizations, World Central Kitchen and Mercy Corps, to provide immediate food, water, and sanitation assistance to affected communities. The donation comes in response to a disaster triggered on August 26 when a glacier collapse released a torrent of ice, rock, and debris into the mountain river system along the Nepal-China border.
