Ridley Scott Confirms Alien Covenant Sequel in Development

Director Ridley Scott has confirmed that a sequel to his 2017 film Alien Covenant is in the early stages of development, signaling a potential continuation of his prequel trilogy within the Alien franchise. The 88-year-old filmmaker revealed the project during a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, conducted while he was promoting his new film, The Dog Stars, which is scheduled to open in theaters on August 29, 2026. Scott stated that the new film would pick up the story with the android character David, played by Michael Fassbender, as he creates a brave new world for himself.
