Remixpoint Sells Altcoins to Focus Crypto Strategy on Bitcoin
Tokyo-listed Remixpoint has sold its entire portfolio of alternative cryptocurrencies, consolidating its digital asset strategy around Bitcoin exclusively. The Japanese firm completed the liquidation of its Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin holdings on September 1, generating approximately 5.5 million in proceeds and a combined net profit of about 737,000. The company disclosed the transaction in a filing on Wednesday, stating the decision followed a review of market conditions, the risk-return characteristics of individual assets, and its overall financial strategy. The move leaves Remixpoint holding only Bitcoin, with a balance of approximately 1,506 coins valued at over 115 million. This positions the company as Japan's third-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder. The sale of the altcoin portfolio resulted in a net gain over the combined book value of the assets. Ethereum provided the largest profit at approximately 377,000, followed by Solana with a gain of about 308,000. XRP contributed roughly 72,000 in profit. Dogecoin was the only asset sold at a loss, with the company recording a deficit of approximately 21,000 compared to its fiscal year opening valuation.
