Red Bull confirms Hadjar return for Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Red Bull confirmed on Monday that Isack Hadjar will return to the team at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku this weekend, ending a three-race absence caused by a fractured wrist suffered during a summer-break gym training session. The 21-year-old Frenchman missed the Dutch, Italian and Spanish rounds while recovering. Red Bull said Hadjar completed simulator evaluations at its Milton Keynes base and passed FIA medical checks before being cleared to race alongside Max Verstappen. Track action in Baku begins on Thursday, with the Grand Prix scheduled for Saturday. "Red Bull Racing is delighted to welcome Isack back this weekend," the team said, adding that Hadjar will return to action at the Baku City Circuit on Thursday. Hadjar said he had focused on recovery from the moment the injury occurred. "I want to thank Laurent and the Team for their patience throughout this process it was important not to rush the decision and now I feel ready to get back to what I do best driving," he said, adding that a simulator session had been positive. Team principal Laurent Mekies had repeatedly stressed that Red Bull would not rush the driver back before he was fully recovered.
