Rangers agree £9.5m deal for Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy

Rangers have agreed a deal to sign Portland Timbers forward Kevin Kelsy, with the 22-year-old Venezuelan set to travel to Glasgow to complete a move that will make him the Scottish club's second-most expensive signing in history. The transfer, reported to be worth an initial fee of approximately £9.5 million (€11.2 million) with additional add-ons and a sell-on clause, is expected to be finalized once the player undergoes a medical and secures a visa. The agreement comes as Rangers seek to bolster their attack following the departure of Danilo to Botafogo and a serious knee injury to striker Youssef Chermiti. Kelsy, who stands 6ft 4in, is viewed as a physical presence who can lead the line for manager Derek McInnes.
