Range Rover Unveils First Electric SUV With 333-Mile Range

Range Rover has unveiled its first fully electric vehicle, the Range Rover Electric, marking a significant step in the luxury SUV brand's transition to electrification. The vehicle, which has been in development for several years, was revealed with order books now open and deliveries expected to begin in 2027. The Range Rover Electric is powered by a dual-motor powertrain producing a combined 542 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque, delivering performance JLR describes as V8-level. It features a double-stacked 118.5-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack mounted beneath the floor, operating on an 800-volt electrical architecture. According to the EPA, the vehicle has an estimated driving range of 333 miles on a full charge. Using a 350-kilowatt DC fast charger, the battery can be replenished from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes, with a 10-minute charge adding about 125 to 137 miles of range. Pricing for the Range Rover Electric starts at $138,000 in the United States, not including destination charges.
