Raheem Sterling charged with dangerous driving after motorway crash

Former England footballer Raheem Sterling has been charged with dangerous driving and possession of nitrous oxide following a single-vehicle crash on a Hampshire motorway in May. The 31-year-old, who is currently without a club, is scheduled to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on September 15, 2026, to face the charges. The incident occurred on the morning of May 28, 2026, on the southbound M3 near the Minley interchange.
