Prince Harry Attends First UK Engagement Since Family Return

Prince Harry made his first public appearance in London on Thursday since returning to the United Kingdom with his family last month. The Duke of Sussex attended the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, an event celebrating individuals and organizations connected to the Invictus Games, the international sporting competition for wounded veterans that he founded. His appearance marked his first official public engagement since he, his wife Meghan, and their two children relocated to the UK from California in late August. Meghan and the children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, did not attend the awards ceremony. Earlier on Thursday, Harry also spoke at a separate event focused on improving care for children wounded in conflict, hosted by Save the Children and Imperial College London. The engagement coincided with a busy day for other senior royals. King Charles III delivered a speech on artificial intelligence at a conference in Scotland, while Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, carried out a visit to the Isle of Bute.
