Practical Magic 2 U.S. premiere with Kidman and Bullock

Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock returned to the red carpet on Monday for the U.S. premiere of "Practical Magic 2," the long-awaited sequel to their 1998 cult classic about a family of witches. The event, held at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles, marked the first major public screening for the film, which is set to open in theaters on September 10. Kidman, 59, wore a dramatic, sheer black lace gown by Atelier Versace, designed by Pieter Mulier for his debut as the house's creative director. She paired the dress with black lace Manolo Blahnik pumps and a matching choker. Bullock, 62, opted for a floor-length black velvet gown featuring a wide, pointed white collar and cuffs. The two stars were joined by their new co-stars, Joey King and Maisie Williams, who play their on-screen daughters, Kylie and Antonia Owens. The sequel brings back original cast members Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest as the eccentric aunts Frances and Jet. However, it introduces a significant change: the role of Sally's older daughter, Kylie, originally played by Alexandra Artrip, is now portrayed by King.
