Porsche Unveils 911 Challenge Entry-Level Race Car
Porsche has unveiled the 911 Challenge, a new entry-level race car designed to provide a more accessible pathway into motorsport. The vehicle, which replaces the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport at the bottom of the brand's motorsport lineup, is priced at $275,000 and is based heavily on the roadgoing 911 GT3. It is set to compete in various one-make racing series globally starting in the 2027 season. The 911 Challenge is powered by a 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine derived from the GT3, producing 508 horsepower and 347 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed PDK transmission.
