Police File Chargesheet in Lohagad Fort Murder Case

Pune Rural Police have filed a 5,053-page chargesheet against three individuals for the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal at Maharashtra's Lohagad Fort. The chargesheet, submitted on September 20, 2026, details an extensive conspiracy involving Agarwal's fiancée, Siya Goyal, her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary, and his friend Ritesh Hange. According to police, the accused used a fake Instagram account named 'Mahi' to lure Agarwal to the fort on June 18, 2026, under the pretense of a surprise birthday celebration for Goyal. Agarwal, a 26-year-old director and chief marketing officer of the family-run real estate business Success Group, was allegedly pushed from a cliff and killed. The incident was initially treated as an accidental fall before investigations revealed it was a murder. The chargesheet alleges that the conspiracy began in March 2026, with the murder plan finalized in May. Goyal and Chaudhary conducted reconnaissance around Lonavala, including Tiger Point, before selecting Lohagad Fort.
