Polestar Formula 2030 concept previews new design

Polestar has unveiled a concept car, the Formula 2030, signaling a new design direction for the Swedish electric performance brand. The concept previews styling cues that will be integrated into future production models, including the next-generation Polestar 2, slated for release in 2027, and the Polestar 7 SUV, expected in 2028. The Formula 2030 concept showcases an evolution of Polestar's established design language, characterized by a revised interpretation of its signature Twinblade, or Dual Blade, headlights. The concept also features a lower, wider stance, enhanced by flared wheelarches and cambered front wheels, along with an aerodynamic Sduct on the bonnet, similar to that found on the Polestar 3. This approach aims to amplify the brand's performance, technology, and sustainability pillars while driving business growth and profitability. Philipp Römers, Polestar's Head of Design since January 2025, described the concept as a "bold evolution" rather than a complete overhaul. "Polestar's design and brand is already so strong, it was obvious we needed a bold evolution, not a revolution of what came before," Römers stated.
