Tadej Pogačar delivered a commanding performance on Stage 4 of the 2026 Vuelta a España, launching a decisive solo attack with 50 kilometres remaining to win the first high mountain test and extend his overall lead to 3 minutes and 21 seconds. The victory in Andorra on Tuesday solidified the world champion's control of the race, while four-time winner Primož Roglič, returning from a serious training crash, proved his resilience by moving into second place overall. The 104.8-kilometre stage around Andorra la Vella featured over 3,000 metres of elevation gain across four categorised climbs. After an aggressive start, the race was set alight on the second ascent, the steep Collada de Beixalis.
