Poco Lee Denies UK Charges After Release, Case Remains Active

Nigerian dancer and hypeman Poco Lee has publicly denied sexual offence charges following his release from detention in the United Kingdom, but the criminal case remains active with a court hearing scheduled for next week. The entertainer, whose real name is Iweh Poco Lee Odinaka, made his first substantive comments on the matter during a video call shared on Sunday by social media activist VeryDarkMan. During the call, Poco Lee maintained his innocence regarding the allegations. "I was just being myself. God sees my heart. My only worries out there were about my people," he said. He expressed gratitude to Afrobeats star Burna Boy and music executive Rahman Jago for supporting him during his detention. "Nobody would have wanted to associate themselves with something like that, but Burna Boy stood by me, so did Jago and some of my other guys," he stated. Poco Lee also offered advice to men, saying, "Men, use eighteen hours to fear women out of the twenty-four hours in a day." He explained that his belief in his innocence helped him remain mentally strong while in custody.
