Pochettino Demands Chelsea Title for Tottenham

Pochettino stated that Chelsea should forfeit the championship due to admitted historical rule breaches during the Roman Abramovich era, arguing that the club's punishment was insufficient. Chelsea was fined £10 million by the Football Association and £10.75 million by the Premier League for multiple violations of regulations concerning payments to unregistered agents and obscured transfer business between 2009 and 2022. The club also received a suspended two-window transfer ban but avoided a points deduction or any retrospective changes to past results. These breaches involved significant players such as Eden Hazard, Willian, and David Luiz, who were central to Chelsea's title-winning campaign that season. Pochettino's Tottenham team finished seven points behind Antonio Conte's Chelsea in the 2016-17 season, boasting the league's best attack and defense but ultimately securing second place.
