Pixxel raises $100M in India's largest spacetech funding
Bengaluru-based satellite imaging startup Pixxel announced on Monday, September 7, 2026, that it has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round, marking the largest such investment for an Indian space technology company. The round was co-led by Singapore's sovereign wealth fund Temasek and UK-based space investor Seraphim. The significant capital infusion brings Pixxel's total funding to $195 million. New investors 360 ONE Asset and Seoul-based IMM Investment participated, alongside existing backers Radical Ventures and growX Ventures. Google is also listed as a backer of the company. Pixxel plans to utilize the new funding to expand its satellite capabilities, enhance its Earth intelligence software platform, and bolster its sovereign space systems. The company, founded by Awais Ahmed, initially focused on developing hyperspectral imaging satellites, which capture data across a wider spectrum of light than conventional cameras, allowing for the identification of subtle changes and characteristics on Earth's surface. The company is now broadening its scope beyond hyperspectral imaging.
