Pineapple Financial Tokenizes $1B Mortgages on Injective

Pineapple Financial, a Toronto-based mortgage lender listed on the NYSE American exchange, has successfully migrated over $1 billion in residential mortgage records onto the Injective blockchain. This development marks a significant step in integrating traditional financial assets with blockchain technology, positioning Injective as a prominent layer-1 network for real-world asset tokenization. The initiative, which began in December 2025 with an initial 1,259 mortgage records, has expanded to encompass 2,079 records as of September 2026. The total value of these tokenized records has reached approximately $1.1 billion, representing a growth of nearly 48% since the project's inception. Each onchain record contains more than 500 data points, including details on loan terms, borrower profiles, funding history, and risk indicators, creating a single, auditable entry. Pineapple Financial has emphasized that these onchain records are not new financial products but rather transparent, verifiable counterparts to existing loans, which retain their original legal structures. The blockchain layer is intended to simplify verification processes and enhance risk analysis for these assets.
