Pattinson Says Batman Sequel Fight Scenes Are Harder at 40

Robert Pattinson is back in the Bat-suit and finding the physical demands of the role more challenging as he films The Batman Part II in London. The 40-year-old actor, who first played the Caped Crusader in 2022, told GQ that the fight scenes for the sequel are "significantly harder" than before, admitting he is "definitely feeling my age." Pattinson is currently shooting the highly anticipated follow-up, which is scheduled for release on February 11, 2028. The production marks a return to Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK, where the set has been transformed into Gotham City. The actor described the filming process as a "marathon," noting the increased physical toll of the action sequences. "I'm literally like, Goddamn, this is significantly harder than it used to be," he said, while also expressing enthusiasm for the project and its "really, really fun cast." The sequel comes after several delays, with director Matt Reeves confirming the script was finished in July 2025. Filming began in the spring of 2026, following a production timeline that has spanned nearly four years since the first film's release.
