Patrick Clancy Speaks of Grief, Talks to Deceased Children

Published 19 September 2026

Patrick Clancy, the ex-husband of Lindsay Clancy, has spoken publicly for the first time since the mistrial in his ex-wife's murder case, revealing in a preview of an upcoming interview that he still talks to his three deceased children "all the time." The interview, set to air on September 20, 2026, comes weeks after a jury deadlocked on September 4, 2026, failing to reach a unanimous verdict on whether Lindsay Clancy was criminally responsible for the deaths of their children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in January 2023. In a clip released ahead of the full interview, Patrick Clancy told correspondent Ross Douthat that he asks his children for "help" through his grief. He is joined in the interview by his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, whom he married in April 2026. The couple is expecting a child. The case has drawn intense public scrutiny, and Patrick Clancy has become the target of online conspiracy theories alleging he was involved in the children's deaths.
