Pakistani RJ apologises to Katrina Kaif for body-shaming remarks

Pakistani radio jockey Dr Ejaz Waris has publicly apologised to Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif after his remarks about her post-pregnancy appearance drew criticism, including an on-air rebuke from Salman Khan on the reality show Bigg Boss 20. During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, host Salman Khan criticised trolls who targeted Katrina Kaif over her weight gain following the birth of her son. He questioned why anyone would comment on her body while she was spending time with her family, noting that weight changes after pregnancy are common and that she would get back in shape when she resumed filming. Khan also criticised people who use anonymous identities to comment on others' appearances and said trolling had become a way for some to earn money by pulling others down. Waris, who had commented on Katrina Kaif's appearance after she attended the Ambani Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, responded after Khan referred to his remarks on the show. In a video and written message posted on Instagram, Waris wrote that he sincerely apologised to Katrina Kaif from the bottom of his heart for his recent remarks.
