Ozzy and Black Sabbath Farewell Film Trailer Released

A trailer for Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning was released September 24, ahead of the concert film’s scheduled cinema debut on October 28. The film documents Ozzy Osbourne’s final live performance and his reunion with Black Sabbath’s original lineup at a farewell concert in Birmingham in 2025. The concert took place at Villa Park on July 5, 2025. Osbourne performed a solo set before joining Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward onstage, marking the original lineup’s first performance together in more than 20 years, according to the film’s announcement. Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, 17 days after the show. The roughly two-and-a-half-hour film combines concert footage with reflections from musicians influenced by Osbourne and Black Sabbath, as well as behind-the-scenes material from the event. The trailer includes footage of fans singing along and excerpts from the performance. The concert also featured appearances by artists and groups including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera and Tool. In voiceover in the trailer, Sharon Osbourne recounts that Ozzy had been told he might not make it through the show, but decided to perform.
