OpenAI has launched its first commercial hardware product, a specialized keyboard designed to control its AI coding assistant, Codex. The device, called the Codex Micro, was announced on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, and is a limited-edition collaboration with mechanical keyboard maker Work Louder.
