Oklahoma Primary Runoff Elections Determine Key Nominees

Oklahoma voters are heading to the polls on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, for primary runoff elections that will determine nominees for key statewide offices, including governor and U.S. Senate, and to decide two constitutional amendments. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across the state. The most closely watched contest is the Republican runoff for governor, a high-spending race between state Attorney General Gentner Drummond and former state Senator Mike Mazzei. The two emerged as the top vote-getters in the June 16 primary, but neither secured the majority needed to avoid a runoff. Drummond narrowly led Mazzei in that initial vote, 26.25% to 25.97%.
