NVIDIA and Palantir Launch Sovereign AI Supply Chain Stack

NVIDIA and Palantir have announced a collaboration to bring what the companies call sovereign AI to critical supply chains, with NVIDIA serving as the first customer by deploying the system across its own global operations. The joint stack pairs NVIDIA's open Nemotron models and cuOpt optimization software with Palantir's Foundry platform, Artificial Intelligence Platform and Ontology, aiming to give supply chain teams real-time visibility into constraints and materials allocation decisions. The scale of the problem the stack addresses is substantial. According to NVIDIA, a single Vera Rubin rack contains roughly 1.3 million parts sourced from thousands of suppliers, spanning compute, memory, networking, power, cooling and mechanical components. NVIDIA said its supply chain teams will use the system as a shared command center, beginning with materials allocation decisions that affect how quickly parts move through production. The company said the tool helps identify potential constraints earlier, evaluate alternatives more quickly and allocate materials based on end-to-end production impact, while supply chain experts retain control of final decisions.
