Nitin Nabin Accuses Opposition Groups of Destabilisation
Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Nabin accused opposition groups associated with Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal of trying to destabilise India at the behest of foreign forces, allegations made as the Cockroach Janta Party planned a protest over electoral-roll revisions on October 10. Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Nabin identified one group as the INDIA alliance led by Gandhi and the other as CJP, which he linked to associates of Kejriwal. He accused them of seeking to create instability for political gain and said they could not accept India’s progress. The reports provide no independent evidence for his claims, and Nabin did not identify the foreign forces he alleged were involved. CJP called for a protest on October 10 demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and opposing the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The planned demonstration came amid political disputes over the revision process and allegations concerning voter registration and possible exclusions. The material provided does not establish whether the protest took place.
