Nigerian troops kill 21 terrorists, destroy camp in Adamawa
Nigerian troops, in a joint operation with the Office of the National Security Adviser, have killed more than 21 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists and dismantled a camp in a remote area of Adamawa State, the military announced on Friday. The operation, conducted on August 27, 2026, targeted a terrorist enclave in the Kopre Mountain area of Hong Local Government Area as part of ongoing efforts to rescue abducted civilians. Acting Military Information Officer Captain Mohammed Goni stated that the joint force comprised the ONSA Tactical Team and newly inducted troops of the 226 Battalion, deployed under the directive of the Chief of Army Staff.
