NIA Chargesheet Details Red Fort Blast Conspiracy

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detailed a wide-ranging conspiracy behind the November 10, 2025, Red Fort blast in a chargesheet, alleging it was orchestrated by a revived module of Ansar GhazwatulHind (AGuH). The blast, which killed 11 people and injured 29 others, involved a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) initiated by the alleged mastermind, Umer Un Nabi, who died in the explosion. According to the NIA's chargesheet, Nabi, also known by aliases such as Pinda and Rahul Bhat, was the operational head of the revived AGuH module. Investigators claim the conspiracy began in early 2022, involving radicalization of recruits, circulation of extremist literature, and preparations for terrorist attacks. The recovered materials allegedly included documents promoting extremist ideology and justifying armed violence, such as "Definition of Jihad," "The Requirements of Jihad," and manuals like "How to Become an Assassin" and "44 Ways to Support Jihad," which provided guidance on explosives, weapons, and covert operations. The NIA alleges that the Red Fort was chosen as a target because the accused viewed it as a symbol of the Indian state and democracy.
