New Strictly hosts ready for scrutiny as they succeed Daly and Winkleman

Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe are the new presenting trio for Strictly Come Dancing, succeeding long-serving hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The trio acknowledged the pressure of following the beloved pair but expressed readiness for the role. Willis, 50, stated she is prepared for the inevitable comparisons and public scrutiny. "I'm ready for the comparisons. I am ready for the negative opinions that can come with these things," she said. "There's obviously a kind of fear that comes with it because of the enormity of it, and you have nerves about being good enough to kind of do the job and step into the role." She emphasized their approach is not to reinvent the show. "We are working on an entertainment show about dancing that is meant to hopefully bring joy to everybody watching it. So hopefully we can be a small part of that joy and have a really lovely time doing it." Widdicombe, 43, described the transition as "surreal" but called the surrounding pressure "exciting." He noted that while they would not reinvent the show, "we'll be ourselves and our personalities will be there.
