Nebius Raises AI Compute Prices Again Amid Strong Demand

Nebius Group announced it will raise on-demand rental rates for a range of its AI computing services, effective October 1, marking the company's second price increase in three months. The move, disclosed in a customer communication, covers selected Nvidia graphics processing units (GPUs), AMD central processing units (CPUs), and memory offerings. The price hikes range from 17% to 21% for various Nvidia GPU models, including the H100, H200, B200, and B300. Rates for some AMD EPYC Genoa CPUs will increase by 25%, while memory pricing will rise by approximately 41%. The Amsterdam-based neocloud firm, which rents out high-powered chips and data center infrastructure for AI model training and deployment, stated that customers reserving large-scale clusters for multiple months can receive commitment discounts. The announcement sent ripples through the AI compute sector. Nebius stock jumped approximately 9% in premarket trading on Thursday. Shares of IREN, another neocloud operator, climbed about 6% on the news, as investors inferred that scarce GPU capacity could be rerented at higher hourly rates.
