Nebius and Palantir Forge Sovereign AI Partnership

Nebius Group N.V. saw its stock price climb significantly on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following the announcement of a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies. Palantir has designated Nebius as its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure provider, a move that integrates Nebius's AI-centric cloud platform and dedicated NVIDIA GPU infrastructure with Palantir's Foundry and Apollo software. This collaboration aims to enable commercial customers to maintain control over their data, AI models, and computing resources while adhering to data residency and privacy requirements. The partnership is designed to embed Nebius's computing and inference capabilities directly within Palantir's enterprise perimeter. Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp stated that Nebius's infrastructure powers the ability for clients to run their own AI models under controlled conditions, emphasizing that their ontology and Nebius's infrastructure will support the sovereignty partners demand. Nebius founder and CEO Arkady Volozh added that organizations require both high-performance AI infrastructure and control over their data, a combination they are now bringing to commercial clients.
