Nanny McPhee Musical to Premiere in London in Summer 2027

A new stage musical adaptation of Nanny McPhee, featuring a book by Oscar-winning actress and screenwriter Emma Thompson, will receive its world premiere in London's West End in summer 2027. The production marks the first time the beloved story of the magical nanny has been adapted for the theatre. Thompson, who wrote and starred in the 2005 film Nanny McPhee and its 2010 sequel, has penned the book for the musical and co-written the original lyrics with Gary Clark, the frontman of the band Danny Wilson. Clark has also composed the music for the production.
